GoodTools The GoodTools by Cowering are small programs that are used to identify and rename your roms and organize them into standardized romsets. There currently exist 31 different Good Sets. You can get the GoodTools first hand from Cowering. Just visit his IRC channel on Newnet: #rareroms |

Note that what I call "Good Roms" aren't all roms in the Goodset, but only those which I consider necessary. Good Roms = Total Roms - (Baddumps [b#] + Overdumps [o#] + Old Translations [T-...]) Baddumps and Overdumps serve no useful purpose and only take up harddisk space, since there's always a good dump of the same rom available in the romset. Old translations are outdated and not really useful for the average person either. Additionally you may want the zlib.dll in order for the GoodTools to scan within zip files. Just unzip it into the same directory as the GoodTools. |
